The Memorial Day weekend brought severe storms and tornadoes that have left a trail of destruction across Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. In the aftermath of these catastrophic events, more than two dozen lives have been lost, hundreds injured, many homes destroyed, and tens of thousands were left without power.
Our hearts go out to the families who have lost loved ones and to the communities that have been shattered by this disaster. The extent of the damage is profound, with countless individuals and families now facing the harrowing task of rebuilding their lives.
Patriot Mobile’s Response to the Crisis
At Patriot Mobile, we believe in being the hands and feet of Jesus, especially during times of crisis. This week, our team visited Valley View, Texas, to deliver food and supplies to a local community center. These essential items will be distributed to families recovering from the horrific tornado that struck the area.
During our visit to Valley View, we witnessed firsthand the aftermath of the tornado. The town was heavily affected as seven people lost their lives and over a hundred were injured. The scene was one of utter devastation, with homes and businesses reduced to rubble. One of the most striking sights was a local Shell gas station, where more than 80 people had tried to seek shelter from the storm, which was leveled by the EF-3 tornado. A crew was on-site, sorting through the debris and cleaning up the destruction.
