At Patriot Mobile, we are dedicated to instilling a deep respect for our nation’s flag and a love for our country in the next generation. Recently, we had the honor of participating in a heartwarming F.L.A.G. Program event in Gainesville, Texas. Alongside Taco Casa, we helped bring a memorable and meaningful experience to a group of bright-eyed pre-kindergarteners, teaching them the significance of the American flag.
The event was hosted at a local Taco Casa, where dozens of children from a nearby preschool gathered for a morning filled with learning, fun, and patriotism. Jim Rodriguez, VP of Public Relations and Development at Taco Casa, whose owner has been a proud member of Patriot Mobile since 2020, warmly greeted the children as they arrived. Taco Casa generously provided a delicious, free lunch for every child, ensuring they were well-fed and ready to learn.
After their meal, the children boarded a school bus and then gathered around the flagpole outside their preschool. Equipped with materials provided by the F.L.A.G. Program, Jim Rodriguez and their teachers guided the students in properly raising the American flag—a symbol of the freedom and values we hold dear. With hands over their hearts, they then recited the Pledge of Allegiance together. This powerful moment highlighted the importance of teaching our youth about patriotism, America’s true history, and the honor of our flag.
These values are central to the mission of the F.L.A.G. Program, which aims to instill pride and respect for the American flag through extensive education. The F.L.A.G. Program, which stands for Flying, Lowering, And Gathering, provides comprehensive educational materials to school districts nationwide at no cost. Throughout the school year, students learn the proper protocols for handling the United States and state flags. With over 300 participating schools in Texas, Tennessee, Arizona, and beyond, the program’s reach and impact continue to grow each year.
