November 5th is just around the corner, and early voting begins as early as this month in some states. This election is more crucial than ever. In every election, Americans hold the power to either hire or fire their elected officials, but that power only counts if we show up to vote. Thomas Jefferson famously said, “We do not have government by the majority. We have government by the majority who participate.”

Yet, despite the significance of voting, the non-partisan organization My Faith Votes reports that an estimated 25 million Christians who are registered to vote do not vote in presidential elections, and up to 15 million aren’t even registered to vote. These numbers are troubling, especially considering biblical wisdom. Proverbs 29:2 tells us, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan.” The question we face today is: Who will determine whether we are governed by the righteous or the wicked?

Our Founding Fathers designed our government to be a republic, where ‘We the People’ decide who will govern us. This structure is not just a political framework, but a system rooted in biblical principles. Exodus 18:21 advises, “But select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain—and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties, and tens.” In a Republic like ours, it is up to us to ensure that righteous leaders, who value biblical principles and uphold the Constitution, are placed in positions of power.

As Christians and patriots, we cannot afford to be passive. The stakes are too high. Unrighteous leaders who disregard biblical principles and constitutional values are making decisions that affect our families, our communities, and our nation. But it’s not too late to make a difference.

Here’s what we can do right now:

  1. Pray for our Nation: 1 Timothy 2:1 instructs us to pray for our leaders.
  2. Register to Vote Today: Ensure your voter registration is current. If you’re not registered, take action now at this link. Every vote counts.
  3. Mobilize Your Community: Call or text your friends and family, and encourage them to register to vote. Ask to hold a voter registration drive at your church or in your community. Every vote matters!
  4. Get Informed: Understand who the candidates are and what they stand for. The Republican Party and the Democrat Party have very different party platforms and priorities. Which aligns more with God’s word? Make sure to review their records.
  5. Volunteer as a Poll Watcher: Ensure your local election is secure by volunteering on Election Day. Check with your local county government to become an Election Judge or Poll Watcher.
  6. Plan to Vote Early: We all have busy lives with families, jobs, and responsibilities. Don’t risk your vote not being counted. Vote early! Or, mark your calendar for November 5th and make your plan to vote early before the crowds on Election Day.
  7. Learn about Biblical Citizenship: Take this free course from Rick Green’s Patriot Academy to learn how to be a Biblical citizen in modern America.

Vote early and bring at least 10 Christian conservatives to the polls with you! Let’s vote for leaders who will honor God, uphold the Constitution, and lead with conviction.
